Hans Castor portrayed the mountain slopes of the resin in a special manner. In the picture, for example, different shades of green are used, the blue is striking. In the foreground, individual spruces grow on the mountain slopes. Heaven is cloudy.
Hans Castor was born in Oberwesel in 1890 and died in Goslar in 1976. He received his training as a church painter in Bingen. After World War I, he ran a painter’s shop in Goslar. In addition, he worked as an art painter. (Wernigerode Harz Museum)
