Over round standup ring, tapered shape with relieved lambreque pattern at the bottom and around the godroned knob on the double arched lid. The two handles are profiled flat, the knob is godrated, the lid edge relieved. The relief pads on lid and pot and its edge silver-plated. The wall painted with multicolored amoses and festivities of “German” flowers. The painting is attributed by Hayward to the Viennese porcelain painter Christian Frey. An identical pot is owned by H. Backer, London. On a jug at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, you will find a related putte representation. In the Hermitage in Petersburg there was a lid bowl with saucer from the same painter and with the signature "C. F."(Christian Frey?). This porcelain belonged to a gift broadcast by Charles Vl. to the Russian farm
