Pengaruh Mindfulness terhadap Work Engagement pada Pekerja Startup Digital di Indonesia

Abstract. This study aims to determine the level of mindfulness at work and work engagement, and to see how much influence mindfulness at work has on work engagement for digital startup workers in Indonesia. The author uses the theoretical concept of [1] to explain the concept of mindfulness and the theory of [2] to explain the concept of work engagement. This study uses a non-experimental quantitative approach, with a cross-sectional survey study design to explain the influence of the mindfulness at work variable on the work engagement variable. Participants in this study were 259 digital startup workers in Indonesia who filled out online questionnaires. The measuring instrument used in this study is the Mindfulness at Work scale which is constructed based on the concept of [1] to measure the level of mindfulness at work. Meanwhile, to measure the level of work engagement, [2] used the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES 9) which has been adapted into Indonesian by [3]. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of mindfulness at work on work engagement for digital startup workers in Indonesia by 13.9%.

Penulis menggunakan konsep teori [1] untuk menjelaskan konsep mindfulness dan teori [2] untuk menjelaskan konsep work engagement. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif non eksperimental, dengan desain penelitian cross sectional survey untuk menjelaskan pengaruh variabel mindfulness at work terhadap variabel work engagement. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 259 pekerja startup digital di Indonesia yang mengisi kuesioner secara online. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala Mindfulness at Work yang dibangun berdasarkan konsep [1] untuk mengukur tingkat mindfulness di tempat kerja. Sedangkan untuk mengukur tingkat keterikatan kerja, [2] menggunakan Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES 9) yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia oleh [3]. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh mindfulness at work terhadap work engagement bagi pekerja digital startup di Indonesia sebesar 13,9%.
