cosmologia de 21 cm e o radiotelescópio BINGO

Apresentamos neste artigo um breve panorama da cosmologia de 21, baseada no estudo da transição hperfina do estado do elétron no átomo de hidrogênio neutro. A distribuição de hidrogênio é um dos traçadores da aglutinação de matéria e da formação de estruturas e é, possivelmente, a única forma de observar o Universo antes da reionização, ocorrida em $20 \gtrsim z \gtrsim 6$. Discutimos os requisitos da instrumentação necessária para medir o hidrogênio e, neste contexto, introduzimos o radiotelescópio BINGO, que está sendo construído no Brasil e foi projetado para medir oscilações acústicas de bárions no Universo próximo ($0,127 \le z \le 0,449$).
