Corynebacterium diphtheriae pili: assembly, structure and function.

View through CrossRef
AbstractThis chapter reviews current knowledge of the pilus assembly mechanism in Corynebacterium diphtheriae as well as the importance of C. diphtheriae pili as adhesive determinants. Three-dimensional structural insights into pilus assembly in C. diphtheriae, and functional features of C. diphtheriae pili are presented.
