Koncerty Louise Armstronga v Praze v roce 1965 jako odrazový můstek švýcarského producenta Wernera Schmida

The building of cultural dynamics of Czechoslovak post-stalinist era of the 1960s was interconnected to profitable production activities and restoring of ties to the West. Louis Armstrong’s series of performances in March 1965 became a milestone of this trend. Two key figures of the second half of the 1960s appeared in the background – Swiss producer Werner Schmid and manager František Spurný on Czechoslovak side. Thanks to the not-yet-published archival materials of Czechoslovak secret police (StB) we can learn new facts about the background of 1960s cultural exchange between the West and Czechoslovakia.
