Assessment of Competitiveness and Economic Security Far Eastern Macroregion Subjects Currently, as a result of a special military operation and the introduction of sanctions against Russia, threats to the economic security and national sovereignty of the country have increased. In these conditions, one of the key tools for accelerating its economic development are measures of state regulation of competitiveness and security, where the regional aspect is becoming increasingly relevant. Geographical and other characteristics of the Far Eastern territories are widely used in the scientific literature, the idea is formed that there really exists a macro-regional community called the Far East. An analysis of historical experience and the current situation shows that the importance of the Far East for the Russian economy is enormous. The Eastern territories have been supplying Russia with key raw materials for centuries, providing access to the most important markets of the Asia-Pacific region, and contributing to improving the country’s competitiveness and economic security. The authors propose an approach to assessing the competitiveness and economic security of the Far Eastern macroregion based on the developed system of private indicators.
