Revisiter l’œuvre de Cheikh Anta Diop : enjeux et défis pour le développement de l’Afrique contemporaine

Abstract: The contemporary challenges facing the African continent are increasingly multidimensional. While these days they include climate and environmental issues, as well as the population explosion coupled with social inequality and extreme poverty, the need for economic and social development, whose foundation remains cultural heritage, remains more than ever necessary. In this article, we attempt, looking back at history, to see how the work of Cheikh Anta Diop can, by transcending the ideological factor subject to the context of the time, contribute to addressing such challenges. Thus, the analysis of the links between the past and the present, coupled with a critical spirit in the interpretation and understanding of human phenomena, must be able to address the concerns of our time.
