Design Sketch, Butterscotch
View through Europeana Collections
Sketch on board, with title "Butterscotch" written in pencil. A two-piece suit (skirt and jacket). The straight skirt is knee length and has a pleat at either side of the front which is sewn down until a few inches above the hem. The jacket has three-quarter length sleeves, is double breasted and has side welt pockets. It is unclear from the sketch whether the jacket has a pointed collar or whether it is a collarless jacket over a blouse with a pointed collar.
