On Clausewitz

View through CrossRef
This chapter explores Aron’s understanding of Clausewitz and his theory of war. It maintains that Aron intended to offer a careful reading of Clausewitz’ work and to correct many of the misunderstandings and misinterpretations of this great military authority. It concludes with a claim that rather than being outdated, Clausewitz’ theory can be instructive in the atomic age.
