Pompeius Magnus Pius, Sextus

Abstract Sextus Pompeius (69?–35 BCE ), younger son of Cn. Pompeius Magnus and Mucia, the most successful republican leader in the civil wars of 49–31 BCE , won victories over several Caesarian generals including G. Asinius Pollio in 44, Q. Salvidienus Rufus in 42 and Caesar Octavian (Augustus) on several occasions.
