Rome, 96 Monte Aventino, e Vestigi del Ponte Sublicio

The engraving shows the view from the animal worker in Trastevere to the southeast. In a light bird’s eye view, one overlooks the shoreline with Santa Maria in Capella in the foreground. On the opposite side of the river the view of the Aventin is opened, on which the churches S. Sabina (on the left) and SS. Bonifacio e Alessio (in the middle) and S. Maria del Priorato (on the right). In the river you can see the pipe stumps of the old Ponte Sublicio, over which Via Latina ran. In 1919 a few meters upstream of the river was built after designs by Marcello Piacentini.
