Հովհաննես Պլուզ Երզնկացու կենսագործունեությունը միշտ եղել է հայագիտության ուշադրության կենտրոնում, մինչեւ Ի. դարի երկրորդ կեսը նրա մասին գրվել են մի շարք ուշագրավ ուսումնասիրություններ։ Հակառակ սրան՝ մեծ եւ արդյունաշատ այս մատենագրի գիտականգրական ժառանգության հիմնական մասը կազմող ճառերն ու քարոզները մինչեւ օրս մնացել էին անտիպ, մինչդեռ նրանց մեջ լավագույնս դրսեւորվել են մեծ մտածողի եւ հայրենասերի անսահման սերը հայրենի ժողովրդի նկատմամբ, հայկական պետական միավորումների եւ եկեղեցու ամրապնդմանը, ազգապահպանությանը, գիտության եւ լուսավորության զարգացմանը եւ ծավալմանը, սոցիալական անհավասարությունները մեղմելուն վերաբերող գաղափարներն ու ձգտումները։ Այստեղ՝ հիմնականում առաջին անգամ, տպագրվում են Հովհաննես Երզնկացու խրատական արձակի քառասունմեկ միավոր, որոնք շատ մեծ արժեք ունեն միջնադարի հայկական մտածողությունը եւ առօրյա կյանքի բազմազան դրսեւորումներն առավել լավ պատկերացնելու համար։ Գիրքը հասցեագրվում է հայագիտությամբ արեւելագիտությամբ հետաքրքրվողներին։
