It will be held on March 6–7, 2025, in Biberach, Germany and is organized by the Biberach University of Applied Science (HBC) in cooperation with the University of Applied Science Stuttgart (HFT).The event aims to bring together researchers, scientists, industry representatives and professionals working in the fields of earth building, sustainable construction, and material sciences. Key themes include innovative approaches to earthen design, the application of new materials, and the integration of traditional building techniques with modern technologies. The summit provides a unique platform for fostering collaboration between academia and industry, encouraging dialogue and knowledge‐sharing. The proceedings of non‐reviewed manuscripts are published on the HFTor platform while all peer‐reviewed papers are published within this journal.VenueBiberach University of Applied ScienceKarlstraße 11,88400 Biberach an der Riß, Germanyhttps://www.hochschule-biberach.de/Review ProcessAll papers published in this issue are peer‐reviewed by the Scientific Board. The scientific committee defined key areas within structural earthen construction and evaluated whether a sufficient number of qualified peer reviewers were available to assess papers in these areas. The topics covered included ceiling constructions, wall constructions, clay additives, additive earth construction (3D printing), and load‐bearing earth structures.Following this, the conference issued a call for abstracts. All submissions that do not align with the specified topics were excluded. The remaining papers were assigned to the respective categories, where the scientific committee evaluated them according to a set of criteria that considered the quality of the abstract and the scientific depth of the content. This process resulted in the selection of a total of 18 contributions, while 15 applied for a reviewed full‐paper contribution, which are published within this journal. The authors were notified of the acceptance of their abstract and received a formatting template, along with a request to submit their full papers by January 28, 2025. The actual review process then began, with suitable reviewers assessing the full papers along with a review form. The reviewer rated general information about the paper on a scale from 1 (very good) to 5 (poor), including their familiarity with the paper's topic. For ratings of 4 or lower in the category of familiarity, an additional review was sought (yielding a double‐peer review procedure). Reviewers also had the option to leave anonymous comments within the paper and to submit free‐text feedback to both the editorial board and the authors. Additionally, the reviewers determined whether the paper was accepted, required minor revisions, needed major revisions, or was rejected.Upon completion of the first review, the authors had the opportunity to address the comments directed at them in their revised work. Papers that require only minor revisions were accepted after the second submission. For papers requiring major revisions, the reviewer assessed the revisions and either approved the paper for acceptance or provided further feedback for improvement.
