Transforming Agricultural Education Through the NEXTGeneration Inclusion Consortium (NIC)

The NEXTGeneration Inclusion Consortium (NIC) is a collaborative partnership that promotes the future workforce in the fields of food, agriculture, natural resources, and human sciences (FANHS). The NIC project provides a framework for agricultural educators to support underrepresented students in pursuing careers in FANHS fields. In addition, NIC offers a range of student-centered initiatives that promote experiential learning, immersive learning experiences, financial support, and domestic and international travel. The consortium strives to create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages diversity and enhances the potential of the next generation of FANHS professionals. As NIC agriculture educators, the aim is to inspire underrepresented students to pursue careers in agriculture. In striving to remove obstacles, create opportunities, and promote inclusivity, NIC is committed to shaping diverse, skilled, and globally minded students in agriculture.
