This is a supplement to Margaret Harris’s “George Eliot’s Heirs: The Lewes Line,” which appeared in George Eliot Review, vol. 50, 2019, pp. 17–25. Juliet Hopper’s contribution to this issue is based on materials found in the George Eliot Fellowship archive, credited as being the work of Nada Lyons (Herbert Lewes’s great-granddaughter) and her husband John Lyons with past assistance from Nancy Henry.
