Moderasi Anonimitas dalam Pengaruh Celebrity Worship terhadap Cyberbullying NCTzen

View through CrossRef
Abstract. Cyberbullying behavior has become a prevalent phenomenon within K-pop fandom communities, often influenced by the intensity of attachment to celebrities and the presence of anonymity on social media platforms. This study examines the influence of celebrity worship on cyberbullying, as well as the moderating role of anonymity in this relationship. A quantitative approach was employed through a survey involving 281 NCT fans aged 18 to 25 years. Instruments used included the Celebrity Attitude Scale, Online Disinhibition Scale, and Cyberbullying Questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with the Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS) method. The results revealed that celebrity worship significantly influenced cyberbullying behavior (β = .312; p < .001). However, the moderating effect of anonymity was significant only in the borderline-pathological dimension (β = .189; p < .001). The R² value for the cyberbullying construct was .143, indicating that the model explains 14.3% of the variance in cyberbullying behavior. Most respondents exhibited high levels of celebrity worship, predominantly in the intense-personal dimension (87.2%), while cyberbullying levels were relatively low. These findings suggest that emotional attachment to celebrities does not necessarily lead to aggressive online behavior, unless extreme psychological factors accompany it. The results provide a valuable foundation for developing digital ethics regulations within social media–based fandom communities. R² konstruk cyberbullying sebesar .143, artinya model menjelaskan 14,3% varians perilaku cyberbullying.
