NJEGOŠ AND DANTE
View through CrossRef
Although the issue of Dante’s influence on The Ray of the Microcosmis considered a resolved one, its decades-long presence in the literature about Njegoš testifies that the possibility of finding traces of the influence of the great Italian poet on Njegoš’s poetry has been inspiring to those dealing with the literary work of the greatest Montenegrin poet. The present paper shows the course of the study of relations between the two poets, mainly based on the findings of Njegoš’s spiritual development and his poetic and philosophical reading.
