СВЕШТЕНА ПОРОДИЦА ОПАЧИЋ У ПРЊАВОРУ (1829–1905)

У овом раду о свештеној породици Опачић наводе се документи који свје-доче о мисији Максима Опачића (архимандрита Мелентија), православног свештеника, мисио-нара и подвижника, који је у варошици Прњавору служио Богу чак преко 70 година. Такође се износе и нове чињенице о животу Јакова Опачића, прњаворског свештеника и одликованог добровољца и хероја српско-турских и српско-бугарског рата, те мисији и служби Луке Опачи-ћа, Јаковљевог сина. Породица Опачић је оставила траг у вјерском и културном животу прња-ворске варошице у 19. и почетком 20. вијека и заслужна је за обнову црквеног живота у Прња-вору након вишевјековног турског ропства. Максим је изградио прву цркву брвнару, али и први зидани храм Божији у Прњавору уз помоћ својих парохијана и уз помоћ сина Јакова. До данас се о свештеној породици Опачић веома мало знало, већином из породичних предања или из оновремене периодике. Овим радом освјетљавамо њихов подвиг којим су успјели обновити храмове и духовни живот на простору Прњавора и његове околине.
