Abstract:
Geospatial Intelligences presents a comprehensive, interdisciplinary investigation into the integration of spatial science, remote sensing technologies, and data analytics to support informed decision-making in diverse domains. The book builds upon foundational concepts from geography, cartography, and information systems to construct an epistemological and methodological framework for understanding geospatial intelligence (GEOINT). It addresses the core challenge of how to effectively collect, process, model, and ethically apply spatial data in high-stakes scenarios such as national security, urban planning, and environmental risk management.
The methodological approach spans advanced remote sensing platforms, geographic information systems (GIS), spatial data infrastructures (SDIs), and machine learning applications tailored to geospatial contexts. Through case studies and analytical models, the book demonstrates the practical utility of GEOINT in real-world situations, ranging from battlefield awareness and disease forecasting to natural disaster mitigation and smart city development.
Key findings highlight the value of predictive geospatial modeling and AI-enhanced analytics in improving situational awareness, resource allocation, and policy formulation. The work also engages with legal and ethical concerns, emphasizing the need for transparency, privacy protection, and responsible governance in the application of geospatial technologies. This volume contributes a robust theoretical and applied foundation for scholars, analysts, and decision-makers seeking to navigate the complex interplay of data, space, and intelligence in the digital age.
