Program Trans TV dalam Mempertahankan Eksistensinya di Era Digital.

Abstract. The decline in television viewership in the digital media era presents a major challenge for the media industry, including Trans TV. This study aims to explore Trans TV’s programming strategies in maintaining its existence amid the surge of digital media platforms such as YouTube, Netflix, and other streaming services. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, supported by data from observations and interviews with Trans TV’s production team, creative team, and producers directly involved in the development and execution of its programs. The results show that Trans TV implements a structured programming strategy through pre-production, production, and post-production stages, all based on rating and audience share data. Additionally, Trans TV actively conducts research on social media trends and collaborates with influencers to reach a broader and more contemporary audience. The decision to maintain certain programs is also influenced by rating performance, production cost efficiency, audience loyalty, and suitability with time slot segmentation. These findings indicate that adaptive and data-driven strategies are key to sustaining the existence of television media, especially Trans TV, in the digital media era.
Abstrak. Penurunan minat penonton televisi di era media digital menjadi tantangan besar bagi industri media, termasuk Trans TV. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi program Trans TV dalam mempertahankan eksistensinya di tengah gempuran platform media digital seperti YouTube, Netflix, dan platform streaming lainnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, didukung dengan data dari observasi dan wawancara dengan tim produksi, kreatif, dan produser Trans TV yang terjun langsung dalam membentuk dan mengeksekusi program-program di Trans TV. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Trans TV menerapkan strategi program yang terstruktur melalui tahapan pra-produksi, produksi, dan pasca-produksi berbasis pada data rating dan share. Selain itu, Trans TV aktif melakukan riset tren media sosial dan melakukan kolaborasi dengan influencer untuk menjangkau audiens lebih luas dan kekinian. Keputusan mempertahankan program tertentu juga dipengaruhi oleh hasil rating, efisiensi biaya produksi, loyalitas audiens, serta kesesuaian segmentasi waktu tayang. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi adaptif dan berbasis data menjadi kunci dalam menjaga keberlangsungan media televisi khususnya Trans TV di era media digital.
