Enlightenment of Eco-translatology Theory on English Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition

View through CrossRef
This paper discusses the application and enlightenment of Eco-translatology in the study of English linguistics and second language acquisition. In the study of English linguistics, this theory brings a new perspective to lexicology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics. Lexicology emphasizes the adaptive changes of vocabulary in different ecological environments and its enlightenment to cross-cultural application; Syntax pays attention to the difference and transformation of syntactic structure in different language ecology; Semantics attaches importance to the influence of cultural ecology on semantics and semantic transformation in cross-cultural communication; Pragmatics analyzes pragmatic phenomena and differences in pragmatic rules from the perspective of communicative ecology. In the study of second language acquisition, the theory of eco-translatology enables us to re-understand the acquisition process, which is regarded as the process of learners' adaptation and selection in the language ecological environment, so as to analyze the characteristics and needs of learners and carry out personalized teaching. At the same time, the theory also guides learners to choose learning strategies according to the language ecological environment, cultivate ecological awareness and autonomous learning ability, promote the construction of a new second language teaching model, create a good language ecological environment and promote the development of language acquisition and cross-cultural communication ability. Although the application of eco-translatology theory faces some challenges, it has great potential and is expected to make greater contributions to the development of related fields.

Title: Enlightenment of Eco-translatology Theory on English Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition
