The theoretical-practical trajectory of Beisiegel reveals the Popular Education present in the University, symbolizing a political-pedagogical thought engaged. Like Paulo Freire, his contemporary in the field of education, Beisiegel is considered a representative of popular education in Brazil. His studies and research uncover the dichotomy between University and popular education, mainly from his experience as professor-researcher. This can be seen in the interview conducted by the author, in the year 2016, with Beisiegel and in his books and articles. In addition to these materials, we use the Lattes Curriculum as a research source. The relationship between popular education and University is taken as the guiding thread.
