Tests for 'Painted Secret

Several trials for the dresses and tops in the 'Painted Secret' collection, a series of delicate, fully form-knit underwear executed in silk/cashmere.‖ The use of the intarsia technique, which involves knitting alternately with one to three threads, made it possible to play with different transparencies.\(a=c) are complete samples: a beige top with narrowly tapered black strip, fitted with needle lace (a), a light yellow top (b) and a mint green dress with red, vertical strip, fitted with needle lace (c). The remaining knitted samples are mainly tests in material, yarn tension, yarn thickness and patterns (d=g).\The remaining samples (h=s) are all kinds of variations in patterns, yarns etc. They are provided with handwritten cards with information. (t) is a drawn sketch of an idea by Judith (?) with the caption: 'What do you desire from underwear (knitted)?' They are in a folder, pasted with work by Painted, with the caption 'Painted Secret' Knitted sketches (process)' (u).
