Wooden cuts. Pigment on paper. A thin paper, rectangular in shape. The subject imagines two women and one child. The child is sitting in a wooden tub and one woman is squatting and washing the baby. The second woman is behind the front two figures. In the background hangs a blackboard/woodcut depicting a waterfall and most figures. Artist is Kikugawa Eizan, who was active from 1978 to 1848. Belonged to collection of images 321.å (321.aa) donated to the Ethnographic Museum by Folke Cronholm 940125 decided to incorporate the wooden cuts in collection 1936.21. Coming from Japan. Descent documented in stamps and identified artist. Been exhibited in 1968 in the exhibition UKI-YO-E Images of Liquid Life. Has no. 36 in the exhibition catalog. According to documentation kept together (older exhibition text), have also been lent and exhibited at another museum, though not clear where or how long. On the occasion, however, the material was classified as part of the picture archive.
