Institutional support of Kazakhstan’s transition to sustainable development

This article presents the architecture of the existing institutional system for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in Kazakhstan and an analysis of the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals by the main socio-economic indicators. The need to analyze the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals is due to the unprecedented increase in geopolitical tensions, the intensification of external and internal challenges that make their own adjustments to the implementation of the UN Agenda until 2030. In this connection, the analysis is based on the evaluation of official statistical reporting data on individual national indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals. The purpose of the analysis of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in Kazakhstan is to analyze the effectiveness of the existing institutional system for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and develop proposals to accelerate their achievement. The article presents the results of the policy on key indicators covering the trinity of sustainable development: economic, environmental and social. The article presents the current institutional architecture for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, provides tools for monitoring their implementation, provides a number of measures to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, and provides proposals for further improvement of the institutional system for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. The comparative analysis method was used during the analysis.
