V.V. Rozanov and the Tsvetaev Brothers

The article, based on the correspondence of Ivan Vladimirovich and Dmitry Vladimirovich Tsvetaev brothers with V. V. Rozanov, reveals the history of creative relationship between famous historians and the philosopher. The little-known history of V.V. Rozanov's relationship with historian D.V. Tsvetaev is presented. For the fi rst time the author examines the letters of V.V. Rozanov and I.V. Tsvetaev, previously barely known to the scientifi c community. Their content explains the position of the editors of the “Novoye Vremya” journal in the legal proceedings between Professor I.V. Tsvetaev and the Minister of Public Education A.N. Schwartz. The article entails the publication of V.V. Rozanov and I.V. Tsvetaev letters discovered to date. The comments for the fi rst time present variants of the editorial proof-reading given by V.V. Rozanov at the time of I.V. Tsvetaev letter fragments publication.
