Borislav Jovanović (1941, Danilovgrad) is an author characterised by diversity, whose creation consists in novels and poetry collections, literary criticism, as well as books for children. In the 1990s, working as a columnist in Pobjeda daily and Crnogorski književni list, he promoted a number of younger Montenegrin authors. He is considered the most important interpreter of modern Montenegrin literature flows, and his collection of essays Crnogorski književni urbanitet presents the most cited critical overview of the Montenegrin modern literature. However, in terms of the subject matter and structure, the most comprehensive Jovanović’s work so far is Zamak Mišela de Montenja (Estetsko biće književnog djela) (Michele de Montaigne’s Castle, aesthetic aspects of the literary work).
