View through CrossRef
This study examined the relationships among employment view, employment ability, and employment productivity among Chinese bachelor’s degree holders. Descriptive quantitative research was used to investigate these relationships, and an adapted questionnaire with a Cronbach score greater than 0.860 was the primary data collection instrument. The respondents of this paper were graduates from three universities in Shandong, China, of which 425 samples were collected. The researcher of this paper used the Questionnaire Star platform to distribute the questionnaire, and SPSS22 was used to analyze the data. The study results showed that university graduates’ employment views, employment ability, and employment productivity were positively correlated. The better the employment view established and the better the ability to be employed, the better the employment productivity. The majority of the respondents indicated that they have the same perception of employment view, employment ability, and employment productivity and that they were trying to establish a correct value-led view on employment and have a clear understanding of and a certain foundation for the improvement of employment ability in order to improve employment productivity. This study provided insights for college graduates to improve employment productivity and promote the improvement of the employment quality of college graduates. On the other hand, it provided valuable insights for colleges, universities, and college teachers to cultivate college students’ correct view of employment and develop employment abilities suitable for current jobs and social needs. In addition, the study suggested that future research should enhance other challenges and concerns related to improving the employment productivity of college students so that scholars can further study this area to continuously improve the employment productivity of college graduates.
