The picture depicts Olof Gabriel Olsson Rosén, f. 1884-03-24 in North Skärvangen, Föllinge. Moves to Raftälven 1895. Staff member at the Royal Vesternorrland Regiment in Sollefteå fr o m 1901-12-31. Serve 3 years and 21 days. After that at Göta Livgarde, 7th Company, fr o m 1905-03-06 t o m 1908-10-31.
Traveling to Wavre, Belgium, for military training. On to the Belgian Congo for service in the “Force Publique” (colonial army) 1910-01-20. Traveling home 1913-06-03, again to Belgian Congo 1913-10-18. Returning to the parental home in Raftälven in 1915. Leaving cancer 1915-04-08, 31 years old.
