Improving circular agriculture in oases (Morocco) through organic by-products management and date palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.) residue composting

Améliorer l’agriculture circulaire dans les oasis (Maroc) par la gestion des sous-produits organiques et le compostage des résidus du palmier dattier (Phoenix dactylifera L.)
Dans les agroécosystèmes arides tels que les oasis des régions sahariennes, la fertilité des sols et le recyclage des résidus de culture affectent la durabilité des systèmes de culture. Le palmier dattier (Phoenix dactylifera L.) est le pilier environnemental, économique et social des oasis traditionnelles. Par des enquêtes et des expérimentations, cette thèse caractérise les systèmes de culture et le procédé de compostage des feuilles de palmier. Les résultats ont montré que les systèmes de culture sont déficitaires en matière organique tandis que l’apport de compost améliore la qualité du sol et la qualité du fourrage. Ainsi le recyclage des feuilles de palmier après compostage peut répondre aux besoins en matière organique des systèmes de culture dans un modèle d'agriculture circulaire au sein d'agroécosystèmes arides tels que les oasis.
