The paper presents documents of the investigative case of a member of the Samara Provincial Committee of the Russian Communist Party (b), former Samara press commissioner Serafima Ivanovna Deryabina, including three of her letters written to her relatives in the Samara provincial prison on June 19, 1918. These documents are a valuable historical source about the Samara period of her biography, as well as about the penitentiary system and punitive practices of the Committee of Members of the Constituent Assembly.
