La Collection de livres en
quatre sections (Siku quanshu 四庫全書) est
une vaste bibliothèque de livres sélectionnés sur ordre impérial à la
fin du règne de l’empereur mandchou Qianlong (r. 1735‑1796). Elle
rassemble plus de trois mille ouvrages répartis dans les quatre
grandes catégories bibliographiques traditionnelles (classiques
confucéens, histoire, philosophie, belles lettres). Disponible
actuellement dans une version numérisée, elle est une source
exceptionnelle, car elle représente l’orthodoxie intellectuelle de
l’époque et contient tous les livres les plus fondamentaux de la
culture chinoise.
