A Study on Activation of Publishing AudioBook

Everything is connected, intelligent, fused, borderless, and customer-centric. With the development of media, as diverse digital contents grow, readers do not read much as before and consumes on other things. In this study, four growth strategies were applied to expand the publishing industry and the relationship between industry and channel was proposed. From the point of view of product expansion, the impact of audiobook on the publishing market and suggestions for activation. Audiobook will gain new readers and further expand the publishing market through the complementary role of the publishing market. In order to activate the audiobook market, first, an open form content production/distribution ecosystem should be prepared. Second, it is necessary to reduce the burden of audiobook production cost through development of speech synthesis technology. Third, ASP-based distribution model should provide a balanced competitive environment. Fourth, by linking with the education market the audiobook publishing should make a role on improving the learning effect.
