La traduction et l’analyse des notes marginales de Martin Luther aux Sermons de Tauler présentent un double intérêt : elles offrent, d’une part, une contribution inédite à la recherche sur le thème déjà classique des relations de Luther avec la Mystique Rhénane, et, d’autre part, elles permettent de saisir sur le vif une théologie en train de se construire, celle du Réformateur.
