The purpose of this text is to present the main arguments in the debate between John Rawls and Thomas Pogge on issues of global or international justice. Rawls’ position is first presented, followed by Pogge’s polemic against this position as well as his own vision of global justice. The remainder of the text provides a description of Rawls’s reply. In conclusion, the far-reaching implications of the Rawls‒Pogge debate are pointed out.
