Generic Analysis of Cohesive Highway Embankment Slope with Use of Fly Ash and Geogrids

View through CrossRef
This paper represent the generic analysis of the cohesive embankment slope of highway using the optimized percentage values of fly ash and economical use of geogrid reinforcement. Fly ash is a coal combustion product that has enormous application in various structures like structural fill, embankment of road/ highway. Since the first edition of “ Fly ash facts for highway engineer’s” in 1986, the use of fly ash in highway construction has increased and new applications have been developed. This paper gives the representative data of existence work of fly ash used in embankment slope. According to various experimental research data obtained for percentage of fly ash used. This paper gives the generic study and designing view on using different side slope ratio with combination of effective percentage of fly ash which is reduced the geogrid reinforcement length. For giving accurate result in slope stability perspective and in factor of safety the data is analyzed in SLOP/W software so we will got the effective value.
