Ushbu maqolada XVIII asr ingliz ma’rifatchilik davri adabiyoti vakillari S.Jonsonning “Shotlandiyaning Gʻarbiy orollariga sayohat” (“Journey to the Western Isles of Scotland”) hisoboti va J.Bosuelning “Gebridga sayohat kundaligi” (“Journal of a Tour to the Hebrides”) tadqiq etilgan. Tahlil natijasida bir sayohat asosida yaratilgan ikki asarning tipologik va o‘ziga xos jixatlari, shakl va mazmuni hamda badiiy xususiyatlari aniqlangan. S.Jonsonning sayohat tafsilotlari esse shaklidagi asarlar yig‘indisidan iborat sayohat hisoboti bo‘lsa, J.Bosuelning asari esa kundalik shaklda yozilgan. Maqola soʻngida quyidagi xulosalar berilgan, ya’ni S.Jonson o‘z kuzatuvlarini sayohat davrida muntazam yozib borgan, tarixiy obyekt va hodisalarni ta’riflashda aniq raqamlar va fatktlarga tayanib, obyektivlikka intilgan.
