TÜRKİYƏ VƏ AZƏRBYCAN MUSİQİSİNDƏ MƏQAM SİSTEMLƏRİNİN XÜSUSİYYƏTLƏRİ (SEGAH MƏQAMI ƏSASINDA)

The article examines the features of modal systems in the music of Azerbaijan and Turkey. Based on the research of various scientists who have studied this area, the structure, similarities and differences of the shur and segah maqams are revealed. Observations show that among the maqams used by the Garapapagh ethnic group in the Kars region of Turkey, the Huseyni and Segah maqams are among the most widely used. However, despite the similarity of the maqam structure, with the similarity of the initial sounds and intervals, the remaining sound intervals of the segah maqam in Turkish and Azerbaijani music are completely different. This emphasizes the uniqueness and originality of the musical structure of each culture.
