Title: A Slip from Brachialis Muscle to Brachioradialis Muscle - A Case Study
Description:
Background and Aims Reconstruction surgeries are very helpful in cases of trauma and burns.
This case report is helpful to surgeons and to note the incidence of variation of the muscle Brachialis and hence to report the variation observed in the muscle Brachialis during routine upper limb dissection of adult human cadavers.
Materials and Method 30 upper extremities 15 right and 15 left of 15 adult cadavers were studied in Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital Pondicherry.
Variation was noted in the muscle Brachialis in one of the cadavers.
Result Afibrous slip from the insertion part of the Brachialis muscle to the origin site of muscle Brachioradialis was found in the left upper limb.
Conclusion The presence of slip from Brachialis to Brachioradialis has to be looked for by the orthopaedic surgeons and surgeons.
