KI 7627-60 + KI 7627-61) Gototei Kunisadaga,,,,,,,, The Sanomatsuya is a side house of the Matsuya (pine house) in Yoshiwara’s neighborhood in Edo. The high ranking courtesan Yoyotose with a shinzō (on the right; girls about to become courtesans) and a kamuro (on the left; girls who have just been admitted to a tea house and were still in education). The magnificent Kimono shows two roosters, who are probably close to fighting. The upper part is decorated with bamboo.
