CONSIDERAÇÕES SOBRE HAPPENING DA CRÍTICA, DE NELSON LEIRNER

Happening da crítica, by Nelson Leirner, was a happening created by this artist to question the critical parameters used by the jury of the IV Salão de Arte Moderna do Distrito Federal to select his artworks entitled Matéria e forma. In this paper, we will discuss the position of the critics who constituted that jury about the episode. Our goal is to demonstrate how Leirner was insightful in expand his artworks from the object toward the experience. For this purpose, we will guide our research by the books Happening, by Jean-Jacques Lebel, and Art as experience, written by the philosopher John Dewey.
