Abstract
Michael Zuckert is a contemporary scholar of political philosophy and American political thought. His educational background includes an undergraduate degree from Cornell University and a PhD in political science from the University of Chicago, where he studied with Joseph Cropsey, Herbert Storing, and Leo Strauss. Michael Zuckert's major contribution to contemporary American intellectual life has been his effort to uncover the philosophical roots of the Anglo‐American political tradition through a number of studies of the concept of natural rights in early modern and American political thought.
