Wedding dress consisting of bodice, train and skirt of embroidered satin and velvet, designed by Worth, made in Paris and worn in London, 1879-1880. Wedding dress consisting of cream silk satin bodice and skirt and separate velvet train. The bodice of cream silk satin has a high neck, long sleeves, and fastens with pearls. There is a machine made lace trim at the high neck and down the centre front opening. Lined with white silk and braid. The waist band is marked. The train is of cut and uncut velvet. The skirt of cream silk satin has bustle pleats at the back. The front and hips are trimmed with a panel of embroidery on net with pearls and satin stitch in a design of leaves and stiffened bell shaped flowers. Centrally there are overlapping lobes of satin trimmed with pearl fringe. The hem is lobed, coided and lace trimmed and has a pleated frill. It is unlined but has a buckram facing and a double brush frill. It fastens at the back with hooks and eyes and is provided with tapes for adjustment.  Silk satin, lace and net, lined with silk, imitation of pearls embroidery, velvet.
