AbstractLet's first discuss the definition of a patent that we often hear about this. basically, a patent is a special right granted by the State to an inventor for his findings in the field of technology, for a certain period of time implementing his own invention or giving his consent to others to implement it (Article 1 Paragraph 1 of the Law concerning Patents).For this time, the article I wrote will discuss the patent of a SONY ERICSSON brand. At the beginning of the development of SONY ERICSSON began or emerged with the name until now has been renamed Sony Mobile Communications Inc. Sony Mobile Communications Inc. is a mobile phone manufacturing company founded in 2001 combined results from two large companies in two different fields: Japanese companies, Sony (electronics) and Swedish company Ericsson (cellular telecommunications). In 2012 Ericsson's shares in this company were fully purchased by Sony. In the first quarter of 2012, Sony Mobile was the tenth largest cellphone maker in the world.The discussion about Sony Mobile Communications Inc., before changing its name to a big name like this, can not be separated from 2 big figures known as founders of this company has become the forerunner of the establishment of the company. The two figures are Akio Morita (founder of Sony) and Larn Magnus Ericcson (Founder of Ericsson) who initially had a stand-alone company to finally decide to collaborate to form a new creation that should be taken into account and able to compete in the business world in the country even outside the country.Keywords: Patents, technology, electronics, quarter, and collaboration.
