Portrait Anne Stuart, Princess, later Queen of England (1665-1714)

Portrait of Anne Stuart. She was queen of England, Scotland and Ireland from 1702 to 1707 until the unification of England and Scotland was made in 1707. From 1707 she was queen of Britain and Ireland. At the bottom of the leaf, she is still described as a princess and by her marriage to Prince George of Denmark. Her chest pattern with her head turned to the right, her eyes pointed forward, appears in an oval frame with laurel thread. She wears an open-hearted dress with brooch and a necklace. Under the frame, which rests on a kind of pedestal, a coat of arms appears, decorated with a princess crown. The Austrian National Library in Vienna also owns such a sheet in its portrait collection.
