Research on the development level and technology-driven efficiency of the intelligent international shipping center development

View through CrossRef
Abstract Firstly, this paper introduces a new concept of intelligent international shipping center, and its characteristics are: ① intelligent shipping industry technology; ② knowledgeable shipping service; ③ intelligent shipping industry chain. Secondly, the paper constructs an evaluation model for the development capacity of intelligent international shipping centers, and evaluates the seven major international shipping centers in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Tianjin, Dalian and Lianyungang. The empirical results show that the development capacity of the major international shipping centers has been improved with the passage of time, among which, Shanghai's development ability has always been in the lead, and some international shipping centers lack of potential of continuous development. We need to consider the input factors. Then, further discusses the impact of technology input factors on the development of international shipping center. This paper uses DEA combined with Malmquist index to study, and the results show that technological progress is the main driving force to promote the development of international shipping cente. Finally, this paper puts forward three suggestions for improvement:①pay attention to the application of new technology to improve the intelligent level,Focus on the application of new technologies.②promote the knowledge transformation of shipping business and improve the intelligent ability.③integrate the upstream and downstream shipping industry and coordinated development of the shipping industry ecosystem.
