This paper is in fact a book written in Urdu by Dr. Mohammad Shoaib and translated by me into English. It contains the na`tiyah poetical compositions of Shah Waliyullah with reference to his Qasidah Atyab al-Naghm. The Islamic poetry of all ages has also been discussed critically and with full references.There is also comparative study of poetical compositions in Urdu, Persian and Arabic language and literature .The quality of the paper is that it proves the validity of verse and explains its limits in the light of the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah.
