“Darshak” – The Philosophical Vision of the Mahabharata According to Manubhai Pancholi

View through CrossRef
From Darshak’s philosophical perspective, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata are glorious and inspiring sources of Indian life philosophy. The credit for presenting the Mahabharata in a poetic form, while remaining within the bounds of poetry, goes to Sage Vyasa. The human forms and values depicted in it have deeply influenced the Indian psyche, and whenever, in moments of darkness, a creator finds no clear path, illumination is discovered within the Mahabharata. For this reason, it is described as a “lamp of knowledge and vision.” It is an eternal source and yet continuously modern. It does not portray merely a specific historical era; rather, it presents the philosophical foundations underlying the social, economic, religious, and spiritual stages of human development. Based on the Mahabharata, it is not appropriate to limit discussion only to the Mahabharata period. Similarly, although the epic mentions many regions, its central events are located in the Kuru–Panchala region. Despite this being a concrete historical fact, the Mahabharata is not merely the poetry of the Kuru–Panchala land. Nor is it only the epic of India. The Mahabharata is the poetry of the human condition that emerges from the intermingling of bloodlines, the blending of communities, and the continuous dissolution of territorial boundaries, resulting in diverse forms of human unity and circumstances. Nowhere does it display narrow-mindedness. Vyasa’s vision in the Mahabharata is universal and timeless; hence it is said, “What is not found here is found nowhere else.”  Abstract in Gujarati Language: Title: “Darshak” – The Philosophical Vision of the Mahabharata According to Manubhai Pancholi
Description:
From Darshak’s philosophical perspective, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata are glorious and inspiring sources of Indian life philosophy.
The credit for presenting the Mahabharata in a poetic form, while remaining within the bounds of poetry, goes to Sage Vyasa.
The human forms and values depicted in it have deeply influenced the Indian psyche, and whenever, in moments of darkness, a creator finds no clear path, illumination is discovered within the Mahabharata.
For this reason, it is described as a “lamp of knowledge and vision.
” It is an eternal source and yet continuously modern.
Vyasa’s vision in the Mahabharata is universal and timeless; hence it is said, “What is not found here is found nowhere else.
”  Abstract in Gujarati Language:
