Head of a Woman

View through Harvard Museums
The head is of reddish terracotta. Her hair is pulled back into a bun on the back of her head. Part of this bun has been broken. Her head is tilted slightly to the right. The details of her eyes, nose, mouth, and ears are not clear; it looks as if the nose has been broken, and the mouth is hard to make out at all. The piece is broken off near the base of the neck.
